Needs

For Riri, investing in competitiveness is a value that translates into the high level of service it offers, speedy delivery and its most innovative products. To achieve these goals, Riri is aware of the importance of the subject of production control.

More specifically, the improvement project focuses on warehouse control by aiming to always preserve correct data regarding dynamic inventory, the timely detection of loading/unloading activities and location mapping for retrieving material.

Aims of the project

The project focused in particular on the following areas:
- Managing the “slider” warehouse
- Managing incoming materials
- Dynamic inventory in real time
- Reducing inventory times
- Managing lot traceability

The project

Results

The introduction of NET@PRO MES software has considerably increased the level of consistency of inventory data, which meant a clear improvement in deliveries to the customer as well as a significant increase in reliability of the overall inventory.

With lot management it is possible to guarantee supply traceability, an extremely important factor in house that is also widely appreciated by some of RIRI's most valued customers. The operation and organization of this warehouse containing almost 20,000 items, which previous depended heavily on the experience level of the assigned operators, is now founded on computerized procedures that can be measured and controlled.
